Drawing – Basics and Beyond

Wednesday, 9 am – 12 noon, September 23 – October 28, 2026 (6 weeks)

Have fun exploring the essentials of drawing, creating realistic drawings with just a pencil, eraser and various blending techniques to create form, light and texture. A slower-paced course using different subjects each week, there is lots of time to practice what you learn. Gain confidence in your abilities, using line, proportion, depth, values and perspective. The class will be taught with demonstrations and one-on-one guidance. Photo reference will be provided by the instructor. All levels are welcome.

Nature Drawing in Graphite Pencil

Pen & Ink Florals

Tuesday, 9:30 am – 12 noon,, September 22 – October 27, 2026 (6 weeks)

Whether you are new to the medium of pen & ink or have fallen in love with it already, you will enjoy drawing a variety of flowers on a small scale. From poppies to petunias, you will learn basic strokes, create textures and control values by using different ink techniques. Students have the option of adding vibrancy to their drawings with a splash of colour. Working from photos provided by the instructor, you will learn through demonstrations and individual guidance.
