Drawing Australia in Graphite Pencil

Wednesday, 9 am - 12 noon, September 10 - October 15, 2025 (6 weeks)

This 6-week drawing class is a chance to sharpen up those graphite pencils and draw flora and fauna from the land down under. A variety of subjects will be explored, including birds, animals, flowers and trees. Some drawing experience is recommended. The class will be taught with demonstrations and one-on-one guidance. Photo reference will be provided by the instructor.

Pen & Ink - Textures

Wednesday, 9 am - 12 noon, October 22 - November 26, 2025 (6 weeks)

Improve your skills with the medium of pen & ink by exploring different subjects. We will focus on how to create textures with different techniques, whether they are found in nature or different materials. Instruction will include demonstrations as well as individual guidance. Photo reference will be provided by the instructor. Some experience with pen & ink would be helpful but not mandatory.

Coloured Pencil – Portraits

Thursday, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm, September 11 - October 16, 2025 (6 weeks)

In this six week session you will gain confidence in your ability to draw realistic portraits using the versatile medium of coloured pencil. Experiment with various pencil techniques and use the fundamentals of blending and layering to create accurate drawings of adults and children. Instruction will include demonstrations as well as individual guidance. Previous experience with coloured pencils is recommended. Photo-reference will be provided by the instructor.

Coloured Pencil - Nature on a Small Scale

Draw a colourful array of small nature drawings in this 4-week session. Explore a variety of subjects, including flowers and miniature landscapes, on white paper. Gain experience with choosing colours and problem solving as you focus on values and textures. The class will include demonstrations and individual guidance.
